A creator's paywalled fitness platform shows a path Christian media builders also weigh

A fitness influencer's move from social media fame to a paid subscription platform illustrates a business model some Christian creators and ministries are also weighing.

A fitness influencer turned a viral video series into GGStudio, a subscription platform now counting more than 30,000 members across 93 countries, built separately from her personal social accounts. The case illustrates a strategy familiar to independent Christian media producers and ministries with an online following: use free social content to build an audience, then move that audience onto an owned, paid platform rather than relying on brand deals or ad revenue. The decision to keep GGStudio’s branding distinct from her personal following also points to a question Christian creators face, whether to separate ministry or personal brand identity from a commercial or membership product. Although GGStudio shows no faith content itself, its business model is directly transferable to Christian content creators considering subscription platforms.
