About the research

What is the Christian Media Report?

Christian Media Report is an independent research and intelligence initiative on Christian media, culture and audiences in Europe. Its annual report is built on the European Christian Media Survey; the first edition covers the Netherlands and Belgium. It is founded and powered by New Faith Network.

About the initiative →

Who is behind the Christian Media Report?

It is an initiative of New Faith Network, which funds it and fields the survey through its audience. The findings are published openly whether or not they suit New Faith Network, and that relationship is stated on every page where a figure appears.

About the initiative →

Is the Christian Media Report free?

Yes. The report and every figure on this site are published free of charge.

How was the European Christian Media Survey conducted, and is it representative?

It was fielded in July 2026 among 4,071 respondents in the Netherlands and Belgium, reached through New Faith Network's email list. It describes an engaged Christian audience, not a representative sample of any national population, and the figures are unweighted. Comparisons with outside research are made within age groups only.

Can my organisation take part or get its own market’s data?

Yes. Broadcasters, publishers and organisations in other European markets can field the survey to their own audience and receive their market’s results. That is how the report becomes European rather than Dutch.

How may I cite the figures?

Please cite each figure with its source, the European Christian Media Survey 2026, and the number of people who answered that question, so the number is not repeated out of context.
