Dutch ad-tech deal expands Europe-based alternative to programmatic video buying

A Dutch ad-tech platform has expanded its European video advertising inventory, a development relevant to Christian media organisations reaching audiences through streaming.

Dutch ad-tech firm Opt Out Advertising has added Ad Alliance’s premium video inventory, including RTL, DPG, Videoland, HBO Max and SkyShowtime, to its demand-side platform. The company positions itself as a European alternative to large non-European technology platforms, with data handled within Europe. For Christian broadcasters and media organisations whose content appears on these platforms, or who advertise through them, the deal offers a route to reach streaming audiences through infrastructure that keeps data processing local. It also reflects a wider shift of advertising spend towards video streaming, a channel through which growing numbers of Christian audiences already access religious content.

ECMS 2026 found that 52 per cent of respondents use streaming or on demand services for Christian content, a figure that sits alongside this report’s account of fast-growing video advertising spend on streaming platforms in Europe.
