A silent march in Utrecht brings together Dutch Christian organisations and political parties to highlight the situation of persecuted Christians worldwide.
Several Dutch Christian organisations and political parties are organising a silent march in Utrecht on 26 September under the name Walk of Hope. The event aims to draw attention to the more than 388 million Christians worldwide who face discrimination or persecution because of their faith. Speakers from Iran and Nigeria will share personal accounts of practising their faith under difficult conditions. For Christian media and organisations, the march illustrates how advocacy for persecuted believers elsewhere can be organised as a public, cross-denominational event within a domestic audience.
