A long-running Dutch podcast bringing together Protestant, Catholic and Evangelical voices has ended, illustrating how cross-tradition dialogue can sustain a Christian media audience for years.
A Dutch podcast in which a Protestant, a Catholic and an Evangelical Christian discussed faith and daily life for five years has come to an end after 108 episodes. The hosts, brought together by the organisation Move Community, say the project changed how they viewed other traditions, moving from mild prejudice to a more open view of each other’s convictions. For Christian media, the project is a concrete example of cross-denominational content finding a sustained audience over several years rather than a single season. Its closure also raises a practical question familiar to many small Christian media initiatives: how long such formats can be sustained once their original motivation runs its course.
ECMS 2026 found that 27 per cent of respondents listen to Christian podcasts, with the format notably more common among under-35s (44 per cent) than over-55s (21 per cent), suggesting podcasts such as this one may reach a younger audience than other Christian media formats.
